We love bespoke commissions there is nothing better than a piece of furniture made to specifically for you and your home, whether it is built in or freestanding.
Our commissions range from small pieces to a full kitchen. We will listen to your requirements and work with you on the design taking your ideas and developing a range of options for you to consider/amend until the final design is agreed. Once you are happy with the design, however long it takes. We will prepare a detailed quotation for your consideration and if you wish to go ahead, we will schedule the making of the piece(s) once we have received a 50% deposit. The Extension Kitchen
Lockdown caused many a life reassessment and the new owners of this house now split their time between Gloucestershire and Northumberland. They bought a delapidated farm cottage and modernised and extended it. They now have a lovely house. The kitchen diner and utility room occupy a single storey extension to the rear of the property, with extensive views over the North Northumbrian landscape and beautifully lit by the skylights.
John first visited site to take a comprehensive brief of our requirements and give helpful and practical advice before preparing high quality plans for our comments. Having agreed the designs he set out detailed estimates which he has worked within, despite escalating material costs. Throughout the build he has been responsive to our enquiries and changing timetables.
Bespoke Slimline Dresser
Bespoke Slimline Dresser made from Ash and Birch Plywood with adjustable shelves utilising rebated traditional bookcase strip.
Bespoke Library
This was a large commission and we developed the design together with the client over a number of iterations, with the final result radically different to the initial idea. The furniture is made from a combination of Birch Plywood and Beech Hardwood. The interior of the cupboards is finished with a clear Matt varnish, whilst the exterior is Farrow and Ball Inchyra Blue. The shelves are adjustable on traditional rebated bookcase strip.
Landing Library and reading nook
This was a large commission as part of a whole house scheme. We worked with the client to design shelving for their extensive book collection, which fitted with the style of house they were creating. The shelves on both sides of the landing provide a perfect setting for an armchair to enjoy a relaxing read. The furniture is made from European Oak and finished with OSMO Hard Wax Oil (Top Oil). The shelves are adjustable on traditional rebated bookcase strip.
